ONE of the cardinal sins of beauty – and one we are guilty of committing – is overdoing it on the fake tan.

But with so many options around, from professional spray tans to wash-off mousses, beauty addicts have started to master the art of the false glow.
However, it seems like former X Factor contestant Stacey Solomon is still having a rough time perfecting her golden glow at home.
The 24-year-old showed up to the LookAgain.co.uk launch with a seriously patchy tan that ranged from non-existent to Oompa Loompa orange.
The singer's face was positively Tangoed, with her almost-mahogany glow standing out startlingly against her blonde locks.
Her left arm was considerably darker than her right, with her bicep looking especially bronzed against the telling white backdrop – while her legs seemed to have been completely ignored.

The mum-of-two's pins, while far from pale, were more pink than bronze as she posed for the cameras.
Still, at least Stacey managed to avoid patchy hands and feet, eh?
Matters were made even worse due to Stace's orangey radiance contrasting sharply with her chic black and white shift dress.
Let's hope she's careful taking off that frock – we can only imagine the bronzer residue that will stick.

The beauty, who won I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2010, was promoting clothing website LookAgain.co.uk, the site which she is the face and body of.
After modelling their sophisticated monochrome dress, Stacey slipped into a pair of tiny denim shorts, teamed with a yellow sheer bird-print blouse and a snakeskin jacket.
While Stacey's pins looked incredible in the Daisy Dukes, we're afraid they only highlighted the serious difference in skin tone between her bottom half and her face.
Next time, Stace, hit the local salon to save any future embarrassment.
